Professional Development

Professional development is key at Atlanta Pro AV.

To continually provide our customers with the best service, Atlanta Pro AV dedicates time and resources to training our employees as AV technology changes. APAV staff and technicians engage in professional development in a variety of ways:

  • Industry Standards

Our install team reviews CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) study materials as they prep to take CTS certification exams. AVIXA (Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association) sets the industry standards for integration and event management. Studying AVIXAโ€™s standards ensures we use the best practices to service our customers.

  • Latest Technology

Many of our sales staff have attended and will continue to attend InfoComm โ€“ the largest industry trade show every year. Attending InfoComm keeps our staff in touch with new products and future industry trends.

  • Product Certifications

As Atlanta Pro AV is a certified dealer of a wide array of AV products, our techs and sales reps must be confident in their operation of these products. Many of our event technicians have completed training on our product lines such as, Shure, Barco, Digital Projection, and others. Our install team has completed product-specific certification training through Atlona, Harman Audio Programming, Crestron Programming, and Huawei Video Conferencing. In fact, one of our installation sales reps attended Huawei Video Conferencing training in China.

  • Webinars

ย Our sales reps often participate in our product webinars hosted by our manufacturers. Through these webinars, our sales team learns more about the products we sell in order to confidently communicate with the customer about the technology.

  • Vendor Training

ย As our installation division expands its services, our professionals attend training sessions with specific vendors before the integration begins. Specifically, our install team has installed two DirecTV systems at senior living communities, working directly with an authorized DirecTV dealer to install the system and use proper troubleshooting techniques.

  • Investing in the Futureย

As fiber optics continues to become used more in low-voltage installation, our install team has invested in fusion splicing and trained with certified Fiber technicians in proper handling and care of fiber optic cable.

  • In-House Training

Show technicians regularly participate in warehouse training sessions on new equipment to ensure they can provide expert, quality service to our customers.
