Staying UPDATED
The Commerce Club in Atlanta has long been known as the premier business club in the downtown area. Located on the 49th floor of the 191 Peachtree Tower, the club boasts stunning panoramic views of the city and beyond. It was a pleasure working in this incredible space alongside the friendly and informative staff. Their audiovisual system renovation was a welcomed collaborative experience. We used minimally invasive techniques to maintain the classic look of the architecture.
Our upgrade began with 2 new tensioned HD format automatic screens by Draper. We were able to preserve the original casing by replacing the rollers and surfaces, which saved lots of money in both parts and labor…and we saved valuable time! It also conserved on waste, making it an environmentally friendly choice.
The heart of our design was the new 4K-ready 3LCD projectors by NEC. They produce the best quality color and clarity at the amazing price point we set. Business presentations can sometimes have small text, and by increasing their resolution, we can get more pixels to help us see the fine print!
Project Origins
The brains of our design came from one of our favorite manufacturers, Atlona. They produce a rock-solid control system that is feature-rich but surprisingly affordable. Control systems of the past relied on source code that made it difficult for other integrators or clients’ own IT staff to modify or upgrade. Our new Velocity system by Atlona is easy to use and ready for future upgrades and modifications. Our system provides total control over EQ and mic leveling for audio balancing in the ballrooms. Combining and separating rooms is a breeze, and source selection is one push of a button. The addition of Barco’s wireless collaboration tool, Clickshare CSE-200, is the touch that makes it sing. Now multiple presenters can screen share wirelessly with a USB button or by using the application on their smartphone or tablet. Presenting couldn’t be easier!
The soul of our renovation for the Commerce Club comes from our team. Led by our installation manager, Jake Elliott. Our clients were regularly updated and in constant communication about the progress. Initially, they were consulted on how best to plan and design an AV system for their ballroom and meeting rooms that meet their growing needs.
