Operations Manager

 

Qualifications

Must have complete knowledge of event operations and have been an Audio Visual Technician for a minimum of 5 years. Must have excellent organization, communication and motivation skills. Must be service oriented with attention to detail and deadlines. Also, must possess the ability to manage and work with many different types of people and personalities on many different levels.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist and advise AV Technicians in their day to day operations to ensure high levels of service and standards of operations are met and exceeded in the perception of our clients and customers.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Monitor training of all Technicians including but not limited to appearance, technical skills, sales, customer service, maintenance of equipment, safety, relationship building and customer complaints.
  • Conduct Performance reviews as assigned.
  • Inventory Control
  • Staffing
  • Oversee and design shows when needed.
  • Review pull sheets to ensure events will be successful.
  • Schedule regular meetings with staff / technicians.
  • Communicate with all departments.
  • Responsible for hiring, training and terminating technicians as required.
  • Provide equipment and service training for each staff technician.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Salary $30,000 – $55,000

Warehouse Technician

Job Duties:

  • Use Flex Rental Solutions software to prep equipment for shows and to receive equipment from incoming shows.
  • Pickup and return sub-rental items as necessary.
  • Assist in cleaning and maintaining the warehouse.
  • Occasionally make deliveries in a van or box truck.

Position Requirements:

  • Previous warehouse experience is required.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Basic knowledge of audio visual (AV) equipment is helpful.
  • Flexible for scheduling with the ability to work days, nights and weekends
  • Team player

Lead Installer

 

Description

  • Manage and provide leadership to teams of 2-10 audio visual commercial integration installation technicians.
  • Be responsible for hands on installation of audio video products to client’s requirements/specifications while also mentoring other Installers as needed.
  • Responsible for the installation of audio video equipment including: LCD/LED/Plasma flat panels, video projection systems, video conferencing systems, speakers & microphones, cabling, fiber optics, racking and  mounting AV devices  and control system unit loading, troubleshooting and commissioning.
  • Supervise installation, mounting and finishing with a variety of construction materials including wood, drywall, stone and tiles.
  • Perform field system commissioning.

Required Skills and Experience

  • At least 7 years of audio visual industry commercial or residential integration installation experience in a senior or lead installer position.
  • Expert knowledge of commercial construction methods such as ceiling deck construction, wall framing and structural engineering
  • Experience in configuring and troubleshooting (not programming) Crestron, AMX and Extron audiovisual control systems is required.
  • Must have recent and current hands on experience installing audio visual equipment including flat panel displays, video walls, speakers, video conferencing systems and control systems.
  • Must have recent hands on experience with racking (fabricating and mounting), pulling/crimping/terminating cables and connecting components as required by blueprints and designs.
  • Must have knowledge of system commissioning
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and installing equipment to required specifications.

Education and Certifications

  • College Degree or equivalent work experience
  • CTS or CTS-i Certification a plus.
  • DMC certification a plus.

Salary $40,000-$60,000

Field Technician

 

Description

  • Assist project managers and supervisors on job sites.
  • Be responsible for hands on installation of audio video products to client’s requirements/specifications as needed.
  • Responsible for the installation of audio video equipment including: LCD/LED/Plasma flat panels, video projection systems, video conferencing systems, speakers & microphones, cabling, fiber optics, racking and  mounting AV devices  and control system unit loading, troubleshooting and commissioning.
  • Perform installation, mounting and finishing with a variety of construction materials including wood, drywall, stone and tiles.
  • Installation of structured wiring and terminating several av connections.
  • Represent the company in a positive manner.

Required Skills and Experience

  • At least 3 years of audio visual industry commercial or residential integration installation experience in a senior or lead installer position.
  • Expert knowledge of commercial construction methods such as ceiling deck construction, wall framing and structural engineering
  • Experience in configuring and troubleshooting (not programming) Crestron, AMX and Extron audiovisual control systems is required.
