As a leading audiovisual company in the Atlanta area, we at Atlanta ProAV are always excited to be a part of projects that bring joy and entertainment to local communities. That’s why we were thrilled to work with the Shoals Community Theater to bring movies back to this historic venue.

Situated in the heart of Florence, AL, the Shoals Theater has been a cherished gathering place for the community. However, the theater faced challenges in keeping up with the fast-paced changes in technology and ultimately closed its doors to moviegoers in 1984.
Fast-forward to today and the Shoals Theater is now once again a state-of-the-art movie venue. This is thanks to the hard work and dedication of the community. And we at Atlanta ProAV are proud to have played a crucial role in this transformation.
One of the challenges the theater faced was the absence of a loading dock, which made transporting large equipment difficult. The local football team and the community worked together on a solution. Together they successfully brought in the largest motorized screen made by Da-Lite. This massive screen measures 32 feet wide by 16 feet tall.
We also sold and integrated a “Mvision” 23,000-lumen laser projector made by Digital Projection, a company based in Kennesaw, Georgia. This allows the Shoals Theater to show the latest blockbuster movies in high definition, giving moviegoers an unforgettable cinematic experience.
Atlanta ProAV is grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the effort to restore the Shoals Theater. The community has come together in a truly remarkable way to make this dream a reality.
Be sure to stop by the theater this holiday season to enjoy all the classic Christmas movies they have scheduled.
