The Shoals Theater

Located in the heart of the community of Florence, AL, the Shoals Theater has long been a beloved gathering place for residents. However, after closing its doors to moviegoers in 1984, the theater struggled to keep up with the rapid pace of technological change.

But thanks to the hard work and dedication of the community, the Shoals Theater is now a state-of-the-art movie venue once again. And we at Atlanta ProAV are proud to have played a crucial role in this transformation.

One of the biggest challenges faced by the theater was the lack of a loading dock, which made it difficult to bring in large equipment. But with the help of the local football team and the community at large, the theater was able to bring in the largest motorized screen made by Da-lite, a massive 32-foot-wide by 16-foot-tall screen.

To bring the theater up to modern standards, we also sold and integrated a “Mvision” 23,000-lumen laser projector made by Digital Projection, a company based right here in Kennesaw, Georgia. With this advanced technology, the Shoals Theater is able to show the latest blockbuster movies in stunning high definition, giving moviegoers an unforgettable cinematic experience.

We at Atlanta ProAV are grateful to have had the opportunity to work on this project and to be a part of the effort to bring the Shoals Theater back to being a world-class movie theater. The community has come together in a truly remarkable way to make this dream a reality, and we are honored to have played a small part in that process.
