Atlanta Pro AV (APAV) was contracted to design full HD matrix solutions for The W Hotel’s infamous opulent lounge, Whiskey Park. Architectural features made the room asymmetrical and posed a bit of a challenge for placement for an optimal viewing experience. Atlona provided the HDBaseT Matrix Switcher we were looking for at a price that fit well within their budget.
We installed six 50″ displays and one projection screen with an Optoma EH500 16:9 4,700 Lumen 1920x1080p resolution projector. The screen had to be customized to overlay on the glass wall in the appropriately named Crystal Lounge. Cabling was all shielded cat6 from our friends at West Penn. Now the management has control over what video source goes where with a push-of-the-button and they couldn’t be happier. The DJ booth was equipped with an HDMI input as well.
