Yamaha QL5 Digital Mixing Console

Core Features

The CL series set a new standard for live digital mixing with refined sound quality, intuitive operation, and powerful functionality. The QL series builds on that legacy, delivering natural sound through advanced processing and flexible Dante networking. Yamaha packs these capabilities into a compact console that offers all‑in‑one mixing, processing, and routing for small‑ to medium‑scale live sound, corporate events, and installations.

Reproduction

Yamaha builds its sound on faithful reproduction, and the QL series delivers it with carefully engineered circuitry that maintains exceptional audio purity from input to output. With that foundation, you can fully shape your mix using premium internal processors like the Portico 5033/5043 developed with Rupert Neve.

For speech applications, Dan Dugan automatic mixing maintains ideal channel balance so you can focus on the overall sound.

The QL series also responds quickly to fast‑changing live demands with large touch displays and intuitive Touch‑and‑Turn controls. Refined fader feel, clear channel displays, and optional iPad or computer control create a smooth, modern operating experience.

Flexible

In addition to flexibility-enhancing input and output capacity, QL series consoles feature the same Dante audio networking protocol that provides broad connectivity in the CL consoles. There’s also an innovative “Port to Port” feature that can patch any input port to any output port, so the QL console can function as a remote I/O device for any other QL or CL series console, for example.

Other flexibility-enhancing features, such as 2-track and multitrack recording capability, and dual MY expansion slots that allow processing capability or I/O to be added as required, make the QL consoles suitable for use as central components in an extensive variety of sound applications.
